Bali Wants More Russian Tourists

Category: Tourism, Posted:23 Apr 2013 | 06:00 am

Picking up on the news from the Bali Daily ,a headline caught my eye about declining Russian visitors to the Island of the Gods.
Year on year arrivals retracted 3.4% from 2011 to 2012. Reduced airlift is being blamed and from our own experience the lack of visa free entry for Russian's to Indonesia compared to say Thailand is another factor.
Aeroflot now longer services Bali as it had in years past, though charter flights with Transaero have continued at a muted pace.
Bali regards Australia, Singapore and Malaysia as major markets, followed by Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, US, UK and France.
It's emerging targets are Russia, Middle East, India, and Germany.
