Crazy Sexy Cool Phu Quoc?

What the hell is a Phu Quoc? I can’t recall how many times I was asked that in the span of a few days, as I was about the leave for Vietnam’s fast emerging tropical island at the Southern tip of the country.

Things kept getting weirder, as I write this I might just be sitting in Asia’s most creatively inspired hotel in Phu Quoc and it’s actually a JW Marriott.

Wait,  don’t stop reading, this is an insanely inspired themed hotel by one Mr. Bill Bensley.

The entire property is a quirky take as a early century Campus, amazing original artwork, off the wall concepts, French antiques and old books and mazes of pathways that lead you down Alice’s rabbit hole…you have to see it to believe it.

For those from Phuket they might know the General Manger Ty Collins who was at the JW Marriott in Khao Lak for many years.

Good news is Phu Quoc is getting direct flights from Bangkok on October 29^th.

Is this hotel worth a visit, I’d say yes as it’s simply extraordinary. Phuket and Bali watch out it’s early days in Phu Quoc but with a good international airport and a dozen branded hotels in the pipeline it’s going to be influential in a very short time.
