Direct Singapore to Krabi Flights Resuming

Category: Tourism, Posted:15 Sep 2009 | 06:56 am

Airlift into the Greater Phuket area is set to increase with low cost carrier Tiger Airways resuming flights in October from Singapore. Access from Singapore will link both to Tiger's extensive regional network but into its Australia market. Long haul travelers will also be able to fly into Singapore and then fly straight to the holiday destination.
The airline previously serviced the destination but during the recent financial crises canceled service citing low load factors. While Krabi remains a highly seasonal destination the opening by year end of the Ritz-Carlton branded resort The Phulay and other international operators such as Sofitel, Sheraton and domestic giant Centara bode well to see higher numbers going forward.
