Holiday Inn Patong GM Steps Down

After 22 years at one of the island's leading hotels, the Holiday Inn Phuket Resort in Patong General Manager Wolfgang Meusburger will be stepping down on this coming December 13th.
Wolfgang has been a constant force on the island's hospitality scene for decades and the Holiday Inn which he manages has one a number of awards both in the industry and within the IHG group.
A replacement has been named, Sandra Kloprogge who has previous experience in Krabi and Indonesia.
After taking a sabbatical, Wolfgang will remain with the management group and start pre-opening operations for the InterContinential Phuket Rawai Beach Resort (formerly the Evason).
In other island moves General Manager Simon Morley will be transferring from the Holiday Inn Mai Khao to the groups Benoa Bali property.
Taking over for Simon is Chris Batterham who in addition to having General Manager responsibilities will have an area role with oversight of the chains Holiday Inn resorts in Phuket, Ko Phi Phi, Krabi and the Maldives.
