Hyatt Taking Over Two Roads Hospitality

Consolidation on the hotel map is continuing unabated, with the latest news being global operator Hyatt Corporation announcing a deal to acquire Two Roads Hospitality for a reported USD480 million.

Two Roads is a boutique multi-branded management group that includes Alila, Commune, Thompson and Joie de Vivre, whose total portfolio is 85 properties.

According to press reports the deal is expected to reach USD600 million once final adjustments are made which could equate to a multiple on earnings of 12, once integration is complete. 

This is the second recent acquisition for Hyatt, with the other being the wellness group Miraval.
