New Online Tool For Hotel Energy And Carbon Footprints

The Hotel Footprinting Tool is a free online tool which enables users to search the range of carbon and energy footprints for hotels worldwide, and create reports of the carbon footprints hotel stays and meetings.

For the first time, hotels can benchmark their energy usage and carbon emissions among others within their region and segment, and customers can calculate their carbon footprints with accurate data. Developed by Greenview  and the International Tourism Partnership, the tool is based on industrywide data sets that are updated annually.

The Hotel Footprinting Tool is ideal for;

  • Hotels wishing to benchmark their performance
  • Individuals and business travelers interested in calculating their travel emissions
  • Travel planners and corporate responsibility managers who want to report on or offset their business travel emissions
