Outlet Shopping Debuts in Phuket

Category: Tourism, Posted:12 Apr 2009 | 14:26 pm

Premium Outlets have opened a designer/brand name dedicated shopping mall aimed mainly at Phuket's tourist market. Located on the islands primary transportation artery Bypass Road the development looks to give stiff competition to Central Festival and Jungceylon mega malls. . With high profile brands such as Warner Bros Studio, Nike, Esprit, Lacoste, Adidas and specialty lines Callaway, and Titlelist there are a large selection of individual shops.

Jungceylon's owner Phuket Square was quoted earlier this year that the mall attracts 30,000 visitors a day. The islands retail sector gets an additional boost with customers from neighboring Phang Nga and Krabi province as well as a thriving expatriate community which continues to grow back of the residential housing boom and influx of supply.
