Outrigger And Nikki Beach Club Open Today

Category: Hotels, Posted:29 Jan 2014 | 13:32 pm

Making the news today is the opening of the 10th global outlet of the Nikki Beach group here in Layan Phuket.
This is the second beach club for Nikki who also have an outlet in Koh Samui.
Up next is US hotel chain Outrigger who operate from Phuket as their regional headquarters for Asia Pacific.
The doors have been opened for the 181-room upscale Outrigger Resort and Spa in Mauritius.
Outrigger continue on an expansion drive eyeing the Indian Ocean and more properties in Asia.
As for the fallout from the current Bangkok crisis and its impact on Phuket, a timely Chinese New Year has offset short term effects, though hoteliers are reporting lower booking levels in the later part of February and March.
This year's focus looks to be very much the mass markets of Eastern Europe and China which are continuing to see strong demand.
