Phuket Eateries Gain International Spotlight

Category: Tourism, Posted:09 Feb 2020 | 18:03 pm

One of the more positive aspects of Phuket tourism has been broader attention to a new generation of eating establishments

Last year Trisara’s Pru gained the honor of being the island’s first Michelin star restaurant.

Recently global media outlet CNBC published a story how Phuket was transforming from a “party town to a dining powerhouse.”

Showcased in the feature were the following:

Twinpalms posh new Surin steakhouse Wagyu

Suay at Porto de Phuket

Anise Thai in Boat Avenue Cherngtalay and nearby Bampot

Phuket town’s La Gaetana

And more accolades for Alessandro Frau’s Acqua in Kalim

It was a pleasant surprise to read about the Phuket restaurants making a splash in Asia’s culinary scene, and we are looking forward to some great new entries this year.
