Russian Numbers To Push Up From Airlift

Making news today is the Thai government who are reportedly set to agree to a reciprocal arrangement with Russia to push up flights between the two countries.

Pending cabinet approval, which is expected shortly the Bangkok Post has reported that the increase to Phuket could effectively be doubled to 55 flights a week.

While for Bangkok the number will escalate from 70 up to 105 flights.

Thai Airways International will resume direct flights to Moscow from Bangkok in mid-December, on a route that had been previously suspended.

Speaking to hoteliers in Phuket, the Russian market is on a journey of recovery which is expected to see considerably year-on-year growth this high season.
