Singapore Airlines Returns To Phuket

Author: Bill Barnett. Category: Tourism. Posted: 4th Aug 2019

Leading global airline carrier Singapore Airlines has resumed direct flights between the resort island of Phuket and the Lion City.

Daily service is one flight a day, using a wide-body Boeing 777-200.

Singapore’s regional carrier SilkAir continues to serve the route with multiple flights every day

The return of the big bus with SQ is a great lift for premium passengers.

Sadly, it appears the SQ service is only a stop-gap measure given it’s meant to supplement SilkAir aircraft shortages due to the Boeing 737 Max 8 groundings.

Reportedly SQ will only service the route through October 26th.

Singapore Airlines flew to Phuket in the 1990’s.
