Singapore Takes To The Street

Reducing the carbon footprint has to be the basis of any serious green philosophy.
In a new study from the Centre for Livable Cities in Singapore and the Urban Land Institute in the US, walking and bicycling are key indicators for a healthy population.
Singapore is an excellent example of parkways, green zone, pedestrian paths and bicycling lanes that keeps evolved.
As Phuket goes urban, one aspect that seems forgotten is the walking and biking elements.
Interestingly in Bangkok, the redevelopment of a canal network of roads, has created a massively popular new bikeway for city dwellers to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
While the island's roadways become more clogged, you have to wonder where will the children of tomorrow play?
