Thailand Losing Out in Gaming Race

As many Asian countries are looking to embrace gaming as a key component of visitor growth Thailand remains mute on the subject.
In the Philippines two massive gaming are the PAGCOR Entertainment City on Manila and the nearby Newport City which was pioneering by Resorts World.
Meanwhile in the emerging tourism oriented nation of Sri Lanka, the resort element of a mixed-use project recently gained government approval.
The Crown development in Colombo has a USD350 million price tag, though the gaming element of the project has yet to be given the green light.
Australian James Packer's Crown group has been on an expansion drive including a prominent Philippine destination gaming development with Macau's Lawrence Ho and SM Investments.
