Theme Park To Rise in Kamala

Category: Tourism, Posted:17 Feb 2015 | 14:40 pm

A 62 rai land plot in Kamala is set to be turned into a theme park by the owning company of Phuket FantaSea.
According to the Bangkok Post Safari World Plc. will commence construction of the development in the mid part of this year and expect to complete within eighteen months.
The cost of the themed tourism attraction is estimated at THB1.35 billon.
The northern part of Kamala is continuing to see market momentum, given the nearby Mont Azure mixed use project which is a consortium between Thai-based Narai Properties, and two significant overseas investors.
As for FantaSea's expansion, this is squarely targeted at Phuket's mass tourism market which is highly leveraged in the China geographic segment.
Currently there are two international standard theme park attractions in the planning phase in Kathu so expect Phuket to follow the current trend seen in Hua Hin and Pattaya towards large-scale tourism demand generators.
